it's earth day

What do you want to change in your life to make it greener?

I want to exchange all our plastic containers for glass or ceramic.
I want to switch to Bullfrog for our electricity.
I want to live somewhere that I can use a compost.
I want to buy less and use what I already have more.

How about you?

  1. I also want to change our plastic over to glass, I hate ceramic dishes though, they break easier than the glass dishes we use for storage of leftovers.

Also, we compost and I love it!

I want to be more able to use what we have in the pantry to make more meals rather than constantly shopping for more!

  2. I saw some corningware dishes the other day that have plastic/rubber lids which would be great for taking food in to microwave. Only problem is - there is nothing wrong with the plastic dishes we have right now. As they die I'll replace them but it seems just as wasteful to throw them all away.

  3. I have some of those corningware dishes, and I use them for tupperware. They're awesome!!! I also have some glass ones. I love them, they're so much better than plastic. They don't get food stains when you warm up food in the microwave! I'm phasing out our plastic tupperware slowly. Meaning, I'm using them because we have them, but I'm not buying any more, and will only by glass/ceramic. (The white lids of the corningware do stain though, epecially with tomato sauces, but it doesn't bother me since I don't put the lid in the microwave).

Also, I'm interested in bullfrog as well. I've been trying to find someone I know that is already a customer so I can ask them a bunch of questions. Let me know if you decide to sign up. I'm curious to see what their service is like and if there are any cost savings, etc.
